Carmelo was born in the small town of Taurionova in Reggio Calabria. He left his home town with his brother Nico in 1974 and began a career in hospitality at just 14 years old.
In 1992 Carmelo opened the restaurant with his brother Nico as head Chef and the rest is history!
The restaurant still remains in the family, with Giuseppe, Carmelo's son, recently taking over. The restaurant has become a favourite for its hearty Southern Italian cuisine, beautiful setting and family feel.
